Mary, the only thing I know is ads!I use Google's AdSense, but I haven't checked the balance in months!
I think someone must have told you that I get paid to blog. I am a contracted employee for two separate entities. One company pays me $35 per article, and I write roughly 25 articles a month for them. I recently hired my services out to another company and they pay me $15 an article and I write 2 articles for them each week.
You can look for blogging jobs at www.problogger.net, but I generally just email my favorite websites and tell them they should hire me and use my writing samples as proof that I can write!
I am in the process of starting my own modest fashion website, and I hope to get that up and running by the end of October. I will use ads on that website to attempt to gain some sort of profit.
