Testing 1 2 3

Well, well. Look who’s decided to grace her blog after some time away. I’ve been lazy. Oh, and busy.
1) I am no longer a social worker (well, paid at least). I had to resign my position so I can finish my teaching credential. The county was unwilling to give me a leave of absence for educational purposes. Boo!
2) I am student teaching in a first grade classroom and I LOVE IT!
3) I am working as an intern for http://www.insectlore.com/
We had an awesome Easter (@ church)! The bus kids and church kids learned 5 songs and sang them on Sunday morning (Kidz Choir). I was so happy/proud. I cried!! The bus kids griped and complained. Some said they weren't coming and wouldn't sing, some said singing was "dumb", others tried to lie and say they didn't know the words.

Nevertheless, they got up on the platform and sang their little hearts out. I went and did the bus route last Sunday and a few kids still had the CDs playing for the world to hear. The kids are still singing the songs instead of the ridiculous mess they try to bring on the bus, and for that I am thankful.

Proud Products of the Westside! Xzena has been riding since she was about 6 or so (11 now), Katrina since she was 6 (11 now), Shonnie (3 yrs), and Jasmine...are you ready? 2 yrs old and she's 11 now. I love these girls.

Me and my faithful girls

Ernestina in the background. Ernestina has also been riding the bus since she was about 5 or 6 and she’s 10 now. Neveah is in the foreground. Neveah didn't say one word when she first rode the bus. Now, I can't get her to stop talking!

Yes, we have boys that ride our bus. Jr and Isaiah are also old timers. Johnny (far right) has been riding for a year. Apparently, he loves church so much that he wakes up at 6am on Sundays, and waits outside at 7:30am. We don’t roll through his neighborhood until 9:45!

It's so awesome to see God move in the lives of bus (or in our case van) kids. Keep planting the seeds. We've been seeing our van parents come more and more lately.

Love the photos of the bus kiddos...I was very active in our previous church, and it's a ministry that's quite close to my heart. It makes such a difference...
