Then Monday I had to place the baby's bro/sis in custody. Then Tuesday I had to pick up 4 more kids for, yes!! METH. That was crazy. In. Sane. It was surreal. If LEA hadn't been there I'm sure I would have been beat up or shot. The family went absolutely CRAZY! Cussing, grabbing kids, threatening me, passing out, crying, fighting w/ each other.... *sigh*
Plus, I've missed church two weeks in a row on account of my Wednesday night class. This is NOT good. That means I've been to church twice in two weeks: Sunday nights. Sunday morning I'm in Sunday school. I am spiritually drained and am in desperate for a church service.
I won't even go into the whole school thing.
I wanted to go to Landmark in Stockton, but my homework comes first.
I said all that to say what my grandmother used to say: Pray my strenf in tha' lawd. Or...Pray My Strength in the Lord.

And I thought it was hard to drive a school bus for two inner city schools (I pick up foster kids, kids with dads in jail - and I hear the horror stories that go with it, and such like). But I cannot imagine the emotional and spiritual drain of what you do, Chandra. It takes a very special person and God bless you for it. You are in my prayers

Chandra, I will be saying a prayer for you! What a sad, sad world we live in. That would be an incredibly hard situation to be in and oh yes, perilous times. I'll be praying for God's protection on you as well as his strength. The school thing can be incredibly draining especially when it takes away from your church time.
Sorry it's been rough! Would have loved to hang out here at Landmark though! Woulda been AWESOME! :)
aaaaaahhh.....Take a Moment and stretch, drink some coffee, and pray! I feel bad for you, that sounds like a week and a half! Don't burn out! =) I agree with Darla; it takes a special person to do what you're doing! It's quite amazing and I admire you for it!
Sounds like a tough week. :( I understand the school thing; this is my second semester of Wed night classes...I usually try the whole telepathy thing to try and get my prof to let us out early so I can slip in and at least catch the preaching. It's rough...
K, my class actually ends @ 7, but my prof talks so slow. Plus, I have a group project and we meet briefly after class. I always thought that I could get away from having to take Wednesday night classes, but it's caught up to me!
